Bosse himself described his collaboration with Augarten since 1924 as his happiest period of creative work. Furthermore, it filled him with pride to have belonged to the staff of these select artists, who, as students of the School of Applied Arts in Vienna and Munich, were responsible for the renewal of the manufactory’s forms. As early as 1921, the independent ceramist had begun working as an employee of the Wiener Werkstätte under Josef Hoffmann.
